The lotus (Sanskrit and Tibetan padma) is one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols in Buddhism.The roots of a lotus are in the mud, the stem grows up through the water, and the heavily scented flower lies pristinely above the water, basking in the sunlight. This pattern of growth signifies the progress of the soul from the primeval mud of materialism, through the waters of experience, and into the bright sunshine of enlightenment.
To the ancient Egyptians, a lotus bud or “sesen” was a symbol of rebirth.  It closes in the evening and falls to the water, but in the morning it opens and is lifted above the surface. This beautiful, unique and inspiring flower is bringing style to the concept of enlightenment
 
The "OM" (or "AUM") in Hindu faith is said to be the first sound the universe uttered as it came into existence eons ago. It is believed that the belief in this symbol brings good luck and spiritual power.
OM is the universal sound, the mother of all mantras, and represents the universal life energy that animates us all. It is the OM that unites all beings. It is the energy that exists in all things.
Om is the symbol of the Absolute, used frequently in prayer, as a mystical contemplation of the ultimate reality.
 
 
The Number 7 is a symbol of good luck in many cultures for a few reasons:
There are 7 "Lucky Gods" in Japanese tradition, the Buddha walked 7 steps at birth, 7 is the number of earths and heavens in Islam, in Christianity Jesus tells Peter to forgive 70 times 7 times and so forth…
Kabbalah teaches that 7 represents wholeness and completion.
After 7 days, the world was complete.
There are 6 directions in our world: north, south, east, west, up and down. Add to that the place where you are, and you have a total of 7 points of reference.

 
 
“5” is the number of the harmony and the balance. It is also the number of the divine grace.
The number “5” is a characteristic of the man. First, according to the Kabbalah, it is the number of the perfect Man, who got rid from his animal side. The “5” is also found on the human body: the five fingers of the hand and feet, the five senses (touch, taste, sense of smell, hearing and the sight), the five members (two arms, two legs and the head, the bust being the center, etc.
 
The Hand is an old symbol of good luck reflected in several cultures: Arabs, Israelis, Native Americans and many very ancient civilizations such as the Incas. The open extended hand has usually been a symbol of protection and great spiritual power. In Chinese philosophy, the concept of yin yang is used to describe how seemingly opposing forces are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world, giving rise to each other in turn. Many natural dualities – like night and day, dark and light, female and male– are cast in Chinese thought as yin yang.
According to the philosophy, yin and yang are complementary opposites within a greater whole. Everything has both yin and yang aspects, which constantly interact.
 
 
The Trident As the main emblem of Shiva, it represents his transcendence over the three qualities of nature: Creation, Preservation and Destruction. Shiva's trident also symbolizes his control over the three realms of heaven, earth and underworld; his triumph over the three times of past, present, and future; and his form as the 'Lord of the Three Rivers'. Esoterically this symbolizes the 'third eye' point between the eyebrows, where the lunar and solar channels unite with the central channel.
 
 
Kali Mantra This is the symbol of the goddess Kali. The name Kali derives from the Sanskrit root word Kal meaning time. Nothing escapes from time.
It is partially accurate to say the Goddess Kali is a goddess of death. However, She brings the death of the ego as the delusional self-centered view of reality. Nowhere in the scriptures is She seen killing anything but demons, nor is She associated exclusively with the process of human dying. Kali gives liberation by dissolving the illusion of the ego.
Out of all the Devi forms, Kali is the most compassionate because She provides “moksha” or liberation to Her children. Goddess Kali is the goddess of liberation or enlightenment.
 
 
The iguana.
A lizard whose tail grows back if pulled off. For this reason they symbolize regrowth and luck.
Also, the way the Iguana seeks the sunlight symbolizes the human soul's search for light.
 
 
The symbol of the snake has various meaning around the world .
In India, Naga, the cobra, is a symbol of kundalini power, cosmic energy coiled and slumbering within man. It inspires seekers to overcome misdeeds and suffering (to become conscious and aware and overcome old programming) by lifting the serpent power up the spine into God Realization.
In the Bible, Snake equals transformation, fire, magic, and wisdom. It was the snake who guided Eve to eat the apple, which in turn freed her from the sleep and she awoke to consciousness. The snake is a graceful animal and appears always to carry an air of dignity and nobility.
 
 
Scarab
The Egyptians observed the behavior of this beetle, because of its practice of rolling a ball across the ground, equated it with the ball of the sun being rolled across the sky. This sacred symbol adorned popular seals, amulets and magic charms (worn as protection against evil spirits or to overcome bareness) first in Egypt, then in Phoenicia, Greece and other Mediterranean lands. Medieval alchemists used its pattern in their magical diagrams.
 
 
Mantras are sacred words or sounds, often various names or salutations of God, repeated either mentally or chanted aloud for personal transformation.
The mantra in written form is also believed by some to infuse the viewer with its vibration, and by seeing the mantra, if one connects to what it represents, one is reminded of divine presence, grace, interconnection or ultimate reality.This particular mantra is the White Tara mantra.
It is for spiritual healing, protection, and prevention of illness and disease, as well as for extinguishing disaster, extending life, and bringing forth good luck associated with long life. Her mantra is often chanted with a particular person in mind. She is one of many representation of compassion.
 
 
The “Om Mani Padme Hum” mantra is easy to say yet quite powerful, because it contains the essence of the entire Buddhist teaching. When you say the first syllable “Om” it is blessed to help you achieve perfection in the practice of generosity, “Ma” helps perfect the practice of pure ethics, and “Ni” helps achieve perfection in the practice of tolerance and patience. “Pad”, the fourth syllable, helps to achieve perfection of perseverance, “Me” helps achieve perfection in the practice of concentration, and the final sixth syllable “Hum” helps achieve perfection in the practice of wisdom.
So in this way recitation of the mantra helps achieve perfection in the six practices from generosity to wisdom.

Ganesh is the Hindu God of Happiness and Remover of Obstacles in one's life path. Ganesh is very popular because he is believed to bring the success to many people who respect him. He is one of the best-known and most widely worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon. Devotion to Ganesha is widely diffused and extends well beyond India.
 
 
The Dharmachackra (the wheel of Dharma) is a symbol which represents Buddhist teaching. It is a cartwheel in which the circular rim suggests perfection and the eight spokes the eightfold way to enlightenment.
The Eightfold Path
# The Eightfold Path is a code of ethical conduct and thought symbolized by the eight spokes of the Dharma Wheel. The first two aspects of the path are right view and right intention, which together form wisdom. Right view means grasping the impermanence of all things and other basic Buddhist concepts and right intention means commitment to the path. The next three aspects, right speech, right action and right livelihood are the guidelines to ethical conduct. They mean speaking and acting in an ethical manner and living by legal, peaceful and ethical means. The next three aspects, right effort, right mindfulness and right concentration are the guidelines for mental development along the Eightfold Path.
 
 
The Horseshoe is an old symbol of good luck that was used to prevent the "evil eye" from entering a person's life or home. Placing the horseshoe over a doorway with the ends facing up is meant to keep all well under its arch. There is an old legend that tells about Celtic people using the iron horseshoe over their doorway to ward off bothersome fairies that are "allergic" to iron.

It remains an enduring symbol of France that appears on French postage stamps, although it has never been adopted officially by any of the French republics.
 
 
Arabic calligraphy for “Allah”.
It is the standard Arabic word for God. While the term is best known in the West for its use by Muslims as a reference to God, it is used by Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, including Christians and Jews, in reference to "God". Most islamic people consider this symbol more correct to represent them. The crescent moon with the star symbol is view more like a political symbol.
 
 
The Four Leaf Clover (or Shamrock) is on old Celtic symbol that is said to bring good luck in four ways: fame, wealth, health and love. The wee people of Ireland say, if you wear a four leaf clover "your love will come to you" and if you grow them around your house no evil will harm you..

Lucky number…or not? The Thirteen leaves no one indifferent.
In Judaism, the number 13 holds great significance according to Kabbalah.
The Hebrew words for “love” (ahava), “care” (de’aga), and “one” (echad) all have the numerical value of 13.
In addition, kabbalistically, the number 13 indicates the ability to rise above the influence of the 12 signs of the Zodiac (12+1=13), not being bound by the influences of the cosmos. Hence, thirteen is the number that bonds multiplicity into oneness.
 
 
The Magen David (Shield of David, or as it is more commonly known, the Star of David) is the symbol most commonly associated with Judaism today, but it is actually a relatively new Jewish symbol.There are many ideas about the symbolic meaning of the Star of David. Some Kabbalists thought that the six points represented God's absolute rule over the universe in all six directions: north, south, east, west, up and down. They also believed that the triangles represented humanity’s dual nature – good and evil – and that the star could be used as protection against evil spirits.
The structure of the star, with two overlapping triangles, represent the dichotomies inherent in man: good vs. evil, spiritual vs. physical, etc. It has also been thought to represent the relationship between God and the Jewish people.The triangle pointing "up" symbolizes our good deeds which go up to heaven, and then activate a flow of goodness back down to the world, symbolized by the triangle pointing down. Yet others have noticed that there are twelve sides on the triangle, perhaps representing the Twelve Tribes.

 
 
Shree Yantra
In the cosmos there are three states: Creation, Establishment and Destruction and these are represented by the three circles in the Shree Yantra which in itself is the symbol of the universe or cosmos. Shree Yantra is one of the most auspicious, important and powerful Yantras. It is the source of attaining all worldly desires & fulfilling all wishes through inner cosmic power & mental strength. "Shree Yantra" - Shree meaning wealth and Yantra - Meaning "Instrument" - The Instrument for Wealth. In Hinduism, Sri Yantra has that unexplained power to fulfill all our wishes and change our life for the better and helps in breaking all the Obstacles in our life. It helps us push indefinitely and easily the limits of growth - both spiritually and materialistically.

The word Buddha means many things -- a person from Asian history; an ideal of enlightenment; a symbol of wisdom, compassion and absolute reality.
From the standpoint of classical Buddhist doctrine, the word "Buddha" has a wider significance than the title of one historical figure. The word denotes, not just a single religious teacher who lived in a particular era, but a type of person -- an exemplar -- of which there have been many instances in the course of cosmic time.
 
 
Dragons are often held to have major spiritual significance in various religions and cultures around the world. In many Asian cultures dragons were, and in some cultures still are, revered as representative of the primal forces of nature, religion and the universe. They are associated with wisdom—often said to be wiser than humans—and longevity. They are commonly said to possess some form of magic or other supernatural power.
This dragon is “Symbolistik”’s logo and is a symbol of power, good luck and good fortune, abundance, prosperity and, protection from unfavorable events in life.
 
 
Starfish: In Christian symbolism the Starfish represents the Virgin Mary (Stella Maris which means Star of the Sea) who lovingly creates safe travel over troubled waters and is also seen as an emblem of salvation during trying times. The star as well as the Starfish are seen as celestial symbols and as such, they represent infinite divine love. In addition to love, the Starfish also holds characteristics such as guidance, vigilance, inspiration, brilliance and intuition

There is a test by which you can judge whether the thoughts you are thinking and the things you are doing are right for you. The test is: Have they brought you inner peace? If they have not, there is something wrong with them…so keep seeking! If what you do has brought you inner peace, stay with what you believe is right.

This is the the peace sign , or anti-nuclear emblem.
According to some sources this symbol was conceived by placing the signs N and D (for Nuclear Disarmament) from the international marine flag signaling system on top of each other, and circumscribing the combination with a circle.
In any case it was initially used as a rallying sign at the 1958 demonstration against Aldermaston (a British research center for the development of nuclear weapons).
